The Origin

Ceylon black tea, scented with natural bergamot

Our Earl Grey starts with pure Ceylon black tea grown in Sri Lanka’s tea gardens, then infused with natural bergamot oil for the classic Earl Grey aroma — bright citrus over a smooth, full-bodied base. It is packed at source in Sri Lanka and carries the Lion of Ceylon, the mark found only on 100% Pure Ceylon tea packed on the island before export.

Behind it is Akbar Brothers — a family tea house blending and packing Ceylon tea for both Do Ghazal and Alghazaleen, today Sri Lanka's largest exporter of branded Pure Ceylon tea.

How To Brew

A proper cup, every time

Water 95-100°C / 200-212°F, full boil
Steep 3-4 minutes

Bergamot is brightest around 3-4 minutes. Good plain, with milk, or a slice of lemon.
